Conventions of a Full Page Music Advert

While doing research on design on full page adverts we looked at a number of examples to identify conventions that we should follow and go against while designing our own.

1. A central image which is usually a whole page spread or centered in the middle, most commonly artwork or an image of a CD or digipak cover or a tailored image which carries the theme of the Artist/band/album.

2. Minimal text with essential information such as title, date, time. To make the reader absorb the information as their eyes scan across the page. May have more text depending on target audience.

3. Information section at the bottom of the page which the reader may choose to read if the initial center top and center content interest the reader.

4. Large title at the top of the page to give them reader the name of the artist/album/event.
